Always in my thoughts and I will never forget you. You & Gran saved me when I thought all was lost. As the years go on I realise what a lucky girl I was to have a Gran & Gramps like you. For me you will always be my dad , no one could replace you. I hope you are at rest and that all your aches and pains are gone. I hope you are keeping everyone in heaven smiling with your witty jokes and funny tales of the past. I knew the time was coming for god to come and get you, I just wish I could have said goodbye to you and given you a big cuddle.
I know you are looking over us all, you must be having a laugh at Gran getting herself all in a tiz over the most silliest of things. She will never change, she is a worrier. We are all looking after her so don't you fret, she misses you loads and loads....obviously, but has loads of people who love and care about her so her time is not up yet....loads more life in the old girl yet!
I must mention the tree, you know the big tall one in Daldowie that usually on the wettest days of the months we decide to go and place some lovely flowers for you....that must make you giggle too no doubt. Gran made sure it was the tallest, most handsome tree in the grounds, just like you!
Anyway must go now, will be back again soon to catch up.

The sound is like music to my ears
and it makes my heart sing

When loneliness and emptiness
bring not a sound to hear
You know exactly what I need
as you flutter past my ear

I can almost feel "The Flutter Of Your Wings"
Their feathery touch is like magic
and much peace and comfort it brings
